Finnish language course

Today we had two basic lessons of Finnish language in the morning. It was almost my first time to experience this language. Although Finnish grammer and pronunciation is quite tricky and difficult, I found some of the similarities between Japanese and Finnish particularly in terms of pronunciation.
For example, do you know how to say number 100 in Finnish? It is sata, which is exactly Japanese name. And one of the most useful phases in Finnish is Mita kuuluu, which means how are you. But it sounds to me that “are you coming to Keio university in Mita?
Anyway, after enjoying Finnish language course, we visited the national museum of Finland. This is very interesting place especially if you would like to learn about the history of Finland. They exhibited and described how Finnish people has survived and developed themselves in the period under the Swedish control for about 700 years and Russian for over 100 years.
I am quite impressed by the painting whose name is “attack”. This painting is about the big hoak attaking the girl, trying to strip her book. Of course this hoak refers to Russia under Alexander Ⅲ who was oppresive toward Finland.
From this point of view, it is understandable why there is still such thing as statue of Alexander Ⅱin the big square in front of cathedral. It is because Finnish people wanted to show the resistance to Alexander that you were not as good as the previous emperor(Czar).
