Bosnia Herzegovina

Now I am in Sarajevo in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Through Dobrovnik to Mostar I came here by bus and train. What was amazing in this area was the magnificent view of mountains. In Croatia, a thousands of rockey mountains with little green trees are standing just next to the sea. It gave me an overwhelming powerful impression. This is totally different view of mountain in Japan where they look gentle and embrace us kindly.

Also, Bosnia Herzegovina is an entrance to the oriental world, Asia. Unlike the other organiyed towns in werstern countries, the street in the old town in BiH stretches windingly as if labylinth. There are also many different types of buildings which are not only made of wood but also of stone. You could find mosque and churches anywhere. The town has a more mixed atmospher.

In BiH, there were still many building which were destroyed and remained unrepared. After the war in early 1990s, this country was divided into two entity, Republic of Srpska(Serbian Bosniak) and Federation of BiH(Croatian Bosniak and Bosniak). And international community, the Office of High Representative, has been supervising this country with powerful right, which in a way looks like pretty much the same as GHQ (General Headquaters) in Japan after the WWⅡ.
